BACK FROM YLTC! :D

It was a really fun week and was far from what i expected to be real tough & hard-to-survive camp! It was NOT :)

New experiences & lots more new friends!

Day 1, Challenge 1:

WALK to Sarimbun Campsite @ Lim Chu Kang from NJC!

It was an about 25km walk all the way, legs and shoulders were on the verge of breaking when carrying the (at least) 5 kg backpack for all of us. Though the walk IS very long, we survived (with injuries, of cos! D: ) !

Task 2:

pitch our own tents!

It was fun pitching the tents as our fate laid on how we pitch the tent - the tents may collapse if they were unstable.

My first time pitching tent! :D

Day 2: outdoor activities day!

Task 3: Challenge Rope Course

Our task was to climb up (about 3 storey high) pole, reaching a broken bridge. & We got to walk through, without handles, only our belaying ropes :) & we did it!

Task 4:

Flying Fox

Just the usual one, its fun! Quite high though :)

Task 5:

Challenge Valley

We got to pass through various obstacles to get to the final station of this task - Milo pond.

Honey Milo got the best timing for the obstacles! yay-ness!

Task 6:

Challenge pole

didnt get to play it but i guess everyone had lots of fun!

Task 7:

Double dango duo

Its one of the high elements with tyres, ropes and logs, got to get to the highest point possible.

Fiona & I paired up, got hung up there for quite a long time i guess and we got to the TOP at last!

Task 8:

Outdoor cooking!

Guess what, we cooked 5 dishes in 30 minutes!

Though we didn't get a high score for that, we enjoyed the process of cooking and decorating our dishes! Cheers Honeys! :)

Day 3: Cleaned up and unpitched the tents & set off to Malaysia!

Tanjong Piai!

Task 9:

Came to this shed and played a kind of ball game, where we had to walk around with strings holding on to a small ball, got to balance it & back to the starting point.

& From then, I OFFICIALLY HATE MOSQUITOES & THEIR ATTACKS D:

Task 10:

Next we went to climb trees! to claim coconuts!

Drank fresh coconut juice! :D

Challenge 2 (Task 11):

Solitude challenge - A solo walk in a dark jungle-like place

Well, though scary, it was fun though :)

Saw fireflies, pretty pretty insects. [ i guess that's the only insect i like :D ]

Then we had a group walk, WONDERFUL! :)

Day 4: activities day, second last day!

Task 12:

team challenge - pass through various obstacles with everyone linked together :)

Task 13:

Sherwood - to walk through a pole which was hanging from one bank of a muddy river to another, and we got to pass through that. I failed :(

Task 14:

Piai Expedition

Well, it started to rain heavily and everything got delayed. Everyone was freezing cold due to the fact that we were drenched all over and with the strong wind blowing. Then we did jetty jump, which was new to me. I love the moment when we were in the seawater, for it was so much warmer than on land.

How i wish i was in the water for a longer time :D

Day 5: last day

Task 15:

Woke up at 3 plus in the morning, as expected by most of us- the FINAL challenge of YLTC.

5 km route, half run half taking on challenge.

It was a WOW experience as I barely got tired during the run itself! - Probably due to the fact that it was real early in the morning & air was so much fresher? haha! Crap.

Then we had a challenge to carry a casualty [Bryan] on our way back to the starting point.

& we did it!

Task 16:

Paintball time!

FUN FUN FUN!

didn't get to shoot much as I was quite afraid to fire :s

Well, at least ALL had lots of fun!

All in all,

YLTC 2009 was GREAT & I will never forget the wonderful moments and experience for the whole 5 days when we went through everything together, especially with HONEYs!

[The greatest ACHIEVEMENT is that we survived! :) ]

Back again! :)

The good news is that Project Work has officially ENDED on the 6 NOVEMBER! :D

Yay-ness!

Well, upon completion of PW, I realised how much time i spent on PW

(PI/EOM/GPP/WR/I&R/OP) everyday throughout the entire year. Then I realised how empty my days are, without PW. haha! I'll go 'BORED, BORED & more BORED' everyday D:

So what do i do when i'm BORED?

Find HER, the cutie, to chat with me luh! :))

We wanted to watch 2012! Who knows there're no more tickets D: so we went to SAFRA, want to go KBOX, but its too expensive luh. haha! SO, we went to have ice cream instead (anger/disappointment management :D)

Went out to Plaza Sing & Peninsula Plaza with sisters to carry out a mission :\

You know we wanted to see LMH! but the event was cancelled due to 'overcrowding' and safety reasons D:

Sigh.

It was quite a special day because I did something different as compared to the usual Saturday routine! - Watch BOF then sleep.

Eh, I went out to talk under the stars, it was a really nice chat & I totally enjoyed (:

Learnt a lot of 人生大道理 also, enriching! :D

OMG! I feel super sorry to my dead blog:x Was motivated to finally update cos i saw 罗志祥's blogskin (oh my god!)These few months since school started have been super hectic and busy for all of us i guess so i havent got time to visit the 'ppl-whom-i-miss' blogs :(

Well, the days after my birthday (post)were rather enriching and true. I went to Maldives in the March holidays for Overseas CIP and had real fun! (: It's a very very beautiful place i can assure all of you and you will never see the waters any clearer! All of us made lots of friends there and definitely missing our dear host families there. They are very nice and selfless people (: Pictures are all uploaded in facebook (:

The last monday of 2008, the last Monday blues (for my job) that i had. And its the 3rd last day of the year 2008.

Well, its the last second day that I am working and I am feeling happy but 舍不得, because I just realised that they are really cute. & I have the feeling that I've really grown up during this entire month.

MISS WEIQI..

whenever I hear this during lesson time, I'll have the sense of 满足感. Yeah, the feeling is really great. (:

2008. An eventful year. Lots of things had happened, to me, to us.

We struggled and survived through O lvls. Did so much so much of revision, TYS and exam papers. Phew, its finally over. (but afraid of the results, which is coming out real soon!) I really hope we'll all do fine and go to where we want(: & bankrupt the school + see Mr Tan run naked as he had promised. haha!

Hmm, organised SLC, finished it & stepped down as 25th Council. Still feeling honoured at this point of time. (: Thanks Ms Tang! Ms Ong & Mr Tan! You made me grow, to who I am now. & I am going to enrich myself even more, to make sure that I will be successful as a person. :)

&&&, Raymond's going off tmr! :( We'll miss you! :D

Post Part 1:

Its the second day that I am teaching!

From today onwards, I am very sure that my future career will not be a teacher in a Primary School or Childcare centre.

I am sick of it!

( although its only two days! I have to really 佩服 Eileen for being able to tahan for so long!)

Well, up till this point teaching is still a fun job for me. I didnt know my patience has such a limit that can make me feel happy teaching the kids :) However, a boy, is testing it, my patience.

Hmmm, anyway, I just knew 2 young little koreans. They are really cute! & Speaks fluent korean < hey, i am jealous. I want to learnt the language too! :( >

I love teaching the students & marking their assignments but hate it when they have their PSP & DS & (i dunno what) cards with them! They would be engrossed in it & becomes deaf when they have the things in hand.

Irritating. (maybe I would start to confiscate them & keep them so that they wont get onto my nerves! hmm.. )

It has been 112 days since the last day I blogged. &&& Yeah! The 'O's is over! :) However, the time seemed to pass really slow after the last paper on 13 Nov. hmm, let me do a recap on the stuffs i did for the 3 weeks after 'O's!

13 Nov: Biology paper 1 (last paper), interview + briefing for CROCS warehouse sales!

14Nov - 17 Nov: Worked at EXPO ( CROCS warehouse sales!)

It was a really unforgettable experience! MY FIRST JOB! A job recommanded by Mrs Juliana Ng. I worked as a sales promoter at the M sized Apparel segment with Raymond, tgt with a few others, Didi, Dee (Woodlands Spring Sec), Marcus & his friend from JC :) <Yeah! I knew new friends!:D but unfortunately we didnt have a chance for photos & contact exchange :( Hope we can eventually meet somewhere! :)>Our Station I/C was Mr Robin! <He is a really friendly staff & often share his experience! We always chit-chatted whenever there are "less" people at our station. Really fun! I would loved to work there if I were to have the chance!> & I knew Ah bee & MeiRu too! :)Though the job was physically tiring, I enjoyed the process so much! Restocking & interactions with customers are fun!
